Day 21 and 22 of #marchMATness2018: #teaser and #hiptwist. #marchMATness has inspired us to dabble with some new mat exercises this week in our #smallgroupclasses. Here's some behind the scenes footage of what it looks like when you're learning these exercises. No one expects perfection, it's all about the journey! 🙌🤸‍♂️ . Tips: #teaser, it looks cool but it's pretty easy to cheat on this one. We're challenging the articulation of your spine like #Roll-Up, except your legs are now FLOATING! Ideally, you'd be able to start with your legs at 45 degrees and gently (and effortlessly) roll your spine up to your C-Curve with your arms at a matching 45 degree angle. Don't lose the C-curve (remember #rollinglikeaball? No pop and locking the pelvis at the top!). Start in the up position if you're new to this and work your way down a little more each day. You can even prop up your legs on something (like a PCS instructor)! . #hipcircles: what a great way to incorporate the whole system. Keep your C-curve, open your chest and fight to move and stabilize with your #powerhouse. Don't overuse those #hipflexors or we've lost the connection! What are we talking about?
