Importance of Recovery work & Rest Days ‼️‼️‼️~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The deterioration muscle tissue occurs due to high levels of stress applied to it when training. As we train, microfibril tears are created within the muscles fibres. For the same reason a scar on our skin is more prominent than that of the surrounding tissue, when muscles fibres repair they create scar tissue which is both larger and stronger than the original tissue. This re-growth of stronger tissue ensures that a tare of the same degree won’t occur in this area, unless a greater amount of stress is applied (hence why we use the training technique or ‘Progressive Overload’) 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 The process of repair takes time I.e rest days. If we continue to apply progressively overloaded stress upon our body we have the potential to completely tear muscles, tendons & ligaments, create joint issues, as well pushing our immune system to the point of failure where we then begin to create other health risks!! A scar on our skin isn’t created overnight, it takes time for the body to recover and repair, so use that approach when it comes to muscle repair also!! 🙂👏🏻 The use of recovery methods such as, stretching, foam rolling, deep tissue massages, dry needling ect, are also going to aid in that recovery process via myofascial release. Allowing for an unrestricted range of motion, unrestricted nerve pathways and simple tension release throughout the body!! 😍🤤😍🤤 For myself, I take 2 rest days per week where I implement them intuitively (listen to my body). As well as utilising the recovery methods outlined above as much as possible to increase the efficiency of my recovery!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 - For Online Coaching Programs / Face to Face PT: Enquire via my Email saying “Face2Face Info” OR “Online Info” 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 📩 liamwall73@gmail.com - Gym tips & the usual Gym Douche Selfies follow my Insta story 📸💪🏻 - Follow my Instagram & Facebook page for more pics & videos 😱🙌🏻😱🙌🏻 Insta: @Stay_Encouraged_Fitness Facebook: @stay_encouraged_fitness 0 ♡ 1 ✍ March 20
