Yoga class for today is brought to you by @jana.hope_nutrition.yoga the link will be in @breathridersyoga Profile Today's recipe @nicolevarcoenutrition Homemade Pizza dough: 2 teaspoons honey 1 package or 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast 3/4 cup warm water 2 - 2 1/4 cups flour - NOTE: I use sprouted spelt flour and use 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 cups 1/2 teaspoon sea salt Directions: Dissolve honey and yeast in 3/4 cup warm water in a large bowl. Let stand 5 minutes or until bubbly. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Add 2 cups flour and salt to yeast mixture; stir until a soft dough forms. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic (about 6 minutes); add enough of the remaining, 1 tablespoon at a time, to prevent dough from sticking to hands (dough will feel slightly sticky). Place dough in a large bowl coated with oil and mix around so dough is coated. Cover with and let rise in a warm place free from drafts, 30 minutes or until doubled in size. Gently press 2 fingers into the dough, if indentation remains, the dough has risen enough. Roll dough into a 12 inch circle (about a 1/4 inch thick) on a lightly floured surface. Place dough on a rimless baking sheet. Crimp edges of dough with fingers to form rim. Bake at 450 for 6 minutes, then remove from oven add desired toppings and bake another 6-8 minutes. Note: If using spelt flour the dough will not be as elastic. I topped my pizza with caramelized onions, mushrooms, fresh basil, organic tomato paste, and raw Mt. Moriarty cheese from Qualicum cheese works. For the kids I did fresh basil, organic tomato paste, and cheese. Enjoy!
